New Article Published in Protein Engineering, Design and Selection

A new manuscript by Vainstein and Banta describes the engineering of a formate dehydrogenase enzyme to use the non-canonical cofactor 3-NADP(H).  This analog of 2-NADP(H) is often an inhibitor of oxidoreductases however we used computational structure-guided design approaches to introduce activity with 3'-NADPH.  The new results were published in Protein Engineering, Design and Selection.
