New Article Published in ACS Synthetic Biology
A new manuscript by Willett and Banta describes a novel metabolic pathway that can be used to regenerate ATP powered by the oxidation of an inexpensive fuel such as formate or methanol. The designed NAD(P)(H) pathway uses a combination of kinases and phosphatases to phosphorylate ADP driven by a fuel oxidation pathway using oxidoreductases. The new results were published in ACS Synthetic Biology.
